This look like 20 minutes and without any further attention will probably produce about a quarter bushel of beets/turnips and about that is collards, plus maybe 4 cups of field peas. Is it for me? No. Is it on land civilization says I have right to do this to? No. Did it require any tools or anything more than a few pinches of seed and what was laying around? Nope.

@emsenn I never would have thought of using dead fall for the edging. I really need to reprogram my mindset away from the 'proper' way to do things to 'how can I best use what is available'. Might thread on that later...

Thank you!

@jessmahler Sometimes I try and see how much land stewardship I can do without lifting my feet up, it's a fun challenge that really forces innovation!

Melg'puguasit, we stand with Wet'suwet'en. Decolonize: "Traditional Ecological Knowledge" (TEK) is the only thing that can help humans as a colonized planet continues to sink deeper into the chaos and destruction of broken, inequitable, and faulty systems that value money over Earth's many forms of life. European place names, words and languages and accounting systems don't belong on Turtle Island. . #LivingWalls, not border walls.
