Making some of the reclaimed pieces ... brighter and expressive in ways that EN does not well translate. The more I'm learning about the Mi'gmaq/Mi’kmaq language, the less (what I now recognize as colonized and Euro-centric English) descriptions of things make sense to me. To make sense of a lot of native words, need to remove all colonial context. Since there are a lot of inflated ways to say the same thing in the Queen's English, am really liking that our native words erase all of that.

@indie right there's so much more meaning and less ambiguity, it's incredible! the ease at which deceit is accommodated in english is equally resisted in many indigenous tongues.

Tortoise Mountain Natives Do Not Like English Ivy

It is time to stop Ecological and economic genocide upon people of color. Tortoise Mountain and Turtle Island natives are the original Ecosteaders. Long before European and other settlers with delusions about government-subsidized development in "blocks" of colonizer cash infrastructure, Native Land Before Invasion was organic. And there never were opportunities or roles for any white dudes as a "Chief" Executive Officer. Get out of here and fix the problems plaguing Europe before trying to kill the indigenoUS Earth.
