emacsconf's opening question was "do you think being white influenced your experience with emacs," or similar, and the (white french) presenter said, with detail, "yes."
That really sets a good tone for the conference, to my ear.
(It helps that I also know like, at least a couple presenters lol.)

@technomancy @emacsomancer I'mma be gone for huge chunks of today and tomorrow, unfortunatley - if there are any talks you hear you think i should tune into, please let me know! (I haven't actually looked at the schedule yet, figuring i'd watch what i can as i can and be grateful for that.)
(They're also not quite 'on schedule' at the moment.)
