As the BIPoC residents of what PDXers know as the ¨Red House on Mississippi¨[1] face a line of weapon-wielding monsters tryin' evict them from some space, we are sharing their story to explain why we posted what we posted on the literal windows of the literal Ecostead:

Whiny person: ¨Aww, but my <aunt, mummy, grandma> flips houses / brokers property / has renters and she not a bad person!¨
Ecosteader A: ¨She IS complicit in native genocide (that is AKA murder), racism, and class war. All modern real estate transactions are built on the colonial deed system which has been incorrect from its inception; the historical records prove it was created by foreigners to invade lands and enforce white privilege. Actions taken to perpetuate that system FOR WHATEVER REASON cannot be justified as okay, legal, or ethical in any situation, in any world or in any Universe.¨
How to fix?
(1) GIVE THE LAND BACK; acknowledge colonial deeds as INVALID and therefore UNENFORCEABLE from any legal standpoint.
(2) Declare to the cartel members and its police enforces that the COLONIAL DEED SYSTEM IS WRONG, and to forefeit all interest in the system which is, at its core, an unethical, immoral, murderous system that has been ILLEGALLY destroying the health of diverse people and plants for centuries.
Actual BIPoC: ¨We don’t need another empty, high-rise, high-rent luxury condominium. The Kinneys are one of the last Black families remaining on Mississippi and their fight for their home is also a real-time fight against gentrification. In order to stand a chance against the big banks and developers who’ve systematically displaced Black families across North and Northeast Portland, we need leverage.[2]¨

This would, of course, enforce the yuppie-style neighborhood snobbery even further, where realty lease and salespeople from the NAR distract the ¨where¨ from the ¨why¨of homelessness. Look at all those streets in the hills that lack pedestrian-only paths! See all that overgrown ivy crowding things out?
By attempting to enact the same old Euro-centric colonial plot being played out tragically , Wheeler and his cop goons predictably pledged allegiance to the NAR, revealing his inherent corruption to the city.

What if that association of ¨professional¨ wannabes pushed by white settlers in the COLONIZED UNITED STATES OF 1950[1] ... Why yes. We ARE talking about the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS. ... What if that thing was a really really bad idea from the get-go?
After all, in comparison to Native Time... 70 years ago was basically, yesterday. How has such a young system managed to do SO MUCH DAMAGE to so many people in so little time[3]?
What else can be done to show everybody this ¨colonial deed system¨ is so ridiculous ... listen to the people who have been listening to the land longer than the very young, very badly conceived idea of a ¨National Association of Realtors¨.
Wanna come here and build something new, you ought to have better ideas about sustainability than forceably displacing natives and intergenerationally-scarred SURVIVORS of colonialism.

Added new videos to the ¨Stop Evicting BIPOC¨ channel we created. For the folks who are more into visuals and drama than the written media can provide, we found a 2014 Vice news documentary on the delusional landlords of Arkansas. Arkansas is AKA ¨Landlord and Realtor Heaven¨ where the the colonists made laws such that cops do CRIMINAL EVICTIONS for renters who cannot or will not pay, even when landlords refuse to provide the minimum standard of habitability.
This continues despite the fact that debtors prisons are supposed to have been outlawed in the US a long time ago:
